Oral Presentations

A Speaker ready room equipped with computers with the same configuration of the session rooms is available for the oral speakers to check their presentations. Presenters are advised to check in this room well in advance of their presentation if formulas/animations are shown correctly.

Presenters should be in their session room 20 minutes before the session begins to meet with the session chairs, who should be near the stage/lectern. Presentations must be uploaded to the computer in the session room before the session begins. The computer will contain a folder with the session name.

Presentations should be in MS PowerPoint or Acrobat pdf. Presenters are allowed 20 minutes for presentations, including questions. Chairs will give a 2-minute warning to wrap-up.

Each session room is equipped with one computer/video projector 16:9, a microphone, a lectern, and a pointing device. The software installed on the computer includes:
The media player is only available with standard codecs. Use of standard True Type fonts is suggested for PowerPoint presentations. In the case that a ppt contains a video or animation, please ensure that both files (Power Point and video - MPG AVI) are in the same folder.

As a baseline, presentations from personal laptops are not allowed, to ensure a smooth programme running and to minimise the transition time between presentations.

Download a zip with ppt templates (in 4:3 and 16:9).

Poster Presentations

For each poster abstract, one poster board in portrait format is reserved with a clear dimension of 80 cm (width) x 140 cm (height). All the material necessary for sticking the poster to the board is available in the Poster area. Note: there are no facilities for printing posters in the venue

Posters can be mounted on Tuesday morning and shall be dismounted on Thursday evening. The poster sessions are scheduled from Tuesday to Thursday starting at 17:00 through 19:00.
The presence of the author is requested for the whole duration of the Poster Sessions to ensure the poster to be displayed on these days and to provide information and reference.
The coffee breaks are served close by the poster area to increase the opportunities for LPS participants to visit the posters.

To increase visibility of each poster, poster authors have received a QR code to include on their poster: such code will link to a Web-page dedicated to the poster and containing additional material (pdf or jpg, up to 50 Mb) uploaded by the authors.Note: no

Authors can also prepare a presentation containing 2-3 slides which, in the case of a no show from presenters in the related oral sessions, can be presented upon invitation of the chairs during the oral sessions.

Digital Poster Session (EO Open Science)

Authors accepted to present in the EO Open Science Poster sessions have been invited to provide by April 22d a short video (max 2 minutes, up to 500 MB) presenting highlights from their work. All received videos will be made available to the general public at least one week before the event on the dedicated YouTube Channel. This will allow prospective participants to get the "flavour" of the presentation and plan their visit to the poster space.

The contents and format of the video are left to the creativity of the poster presenter: we expect screen records of powerpoint presentations, close-up speeches taken with mobile phones as well as advanced videos, animations and sounds. Standard video formats like .avi, .mov, .wmv, .mp4 ... are expected. Please check on the You Tube Channel examples from previous conferences.

During the digital poster session, each presenter will be assigned a dedicated space (high table) to interactively present own results to the interested people. Presenters shall use their own laptop. Please note: no PC or screens or beamers are available, nor place to post physical posters
